Preparation: Zion Youth Outreach to JapanApril 2, 2009 By Admin In preparation for their missions’ trip to Japan, our youth started raising funds any way they could. They held carwashes every Saturday from September all the way until the month of December. The group also did yard work at various houses, sold donations of clothes and household items at the flee market, had bake sales on Sundays, held an auction and had a movie night at the church. Through their efforts and the generosity of our church members and community, they were able to reach their goal. We hope you enjoy this video they put together to illustrate the hard work they put in and the fun they had doing it.
MissionsMarch 10, 2009 By Admin The mandate for each Christian is still to GO INTO ALL THE WORLD sharing the LIFE OF CHRIST. This year we have several important missions we are involved. First, a team of 6 will be heading to Hiroshima, Japan for our first team mission. Carlos and Patricia have been working with the Youth department along with our Church Elder, Ray Rupley. Together they will be involved in sharing their testimony, singing and reaching out to young people in several schools and open air venues. God provided miraculously for this trip and the team were all diligent to work raising the funds. Second, Pastor Rob and Allison have been invited to share a week of Ministry in Nauru the week of June 21. They have not been back to that part of Micronesia for several years so this is a tremendous opportunity to see all that the Lord has done since their last ministry there in 1994. Also, they are planning to make a ministry stop in the Solomon Islands. The week of November 1, Rob and Allison will be co-hosting a special Mission to Missionaries in Bali, Indonesia.
